Siem Reap center is very closely organised and , even if you're staying on Taphul Road, you're never that far away from most of the town's bars, restaurants, cafe's and shops. A Shaded walk up the riverside to the Raffles Gardens is also a really pleasant early evening stroll. Street crime in Siem Reap is very low, but take the usual precautions nonetheless, particularly after dark.
